We compare loan products from a range of lenders to identify finance options that are suitable for your financial circumstances, objectives, and borrowing requirements.

Our Responsible Lending Commitment

Before recommending or assisting with a credit product, we will:

  • Discuss your financial situation, objectives, and borrowing needs.
  • Make reasonable inquiries about your income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and financial commitments.
  • Assess whether a credit product is suitable for your circumstances.
  • Explain the features, benefits, risks, fees, and costs associated with recommended loan options.
  • Support you throughout the application, approval, and settlement process.

Our goal is to help you make informed financial decisions with confidence.

Preliminary Credit Assessment

Where required under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009, we will prepare a Preliminary Credit Assessment before recommending a consumer credit contract.

You may request a copy of this assessment at any time within the period permitted by law. We will provide it free of charge unless legislation permits otherwise.

How We Are Paid

In most cases, Everest Home Loans is paid a commission by the lender once your loan settles.

We may also receive an ongoing trail commission while your loan remains with that lender.

The commission we receive is generally based on the amount borrowed and does not usually affect the interest rate or fees charged to you.

Where applicable, we will disclose all commissions, fees, and other benefits before you proceed with your loan application.

Fees Payable by You

Our mortgage broking services are generally provided at no direct cost to you because we are paid by the lender.

If a fee is payable for any service, we will clearly explain the amount, why it is payable, and obtain your agreement before proceeding.

Your Privacy

We collect, use, store, and disclose your personal information only for purposes related to providing mortgage broking and credit assistance services.

Your personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy.

We may disclose your information to lenders, mortgage insurers, credit reporting bodies, service providers, and other parties involved in arranging your finance where necessary to provide our services or where required by law.

Conflicts of Interest

Everest Home Loans is committed to acting efficiently, honestly, fairly, and in your best interests.

Where any actual or potential conflict of interest exists, we will disclose it to you so you can make an informed decision before proceeding.
